About This Event

It's all about balance! Come join me for an hour vinyasa flow class at Couch Brewery benefiting MS Run the US.  All proceeds will go towards finding a cure for MS and assisting those currently living with MS. Please visit my fundraising page to see why I am running 167 miles in 6 days from Cuyahoga Falls, OH to Brookeville, PA in the middle of summer! (That's a marathon a day!) Tickets are a $15 charitable donation for the yoga class. All drinks and food are an additional cost.  Yoga class will take place 10:30am-11:30am and afterwards Namastay around for a beer! Between the hours of 12-5 PM, $1 will be donated for every drink purchased (excluding 4 oz. pours).  My story and Why MS Run the U.S? Did you know that every hour some one is newly diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis? As a physical therapist I work with individuals of differing abilities and impairments every day. A turning point in my life was when my friend, John Platt, walked into my evaluation room. He looked like any other male marathon runner presenting with the typical running injuries but then blurted out he had multiple sclerosis. My mind was blown that some one with MS could run marathons. Little did I know we would become great friends and I would run the Boston marathon with him as his guide. With John opening his world to me about mobility impaired running and adapted sports, I decided to go back to school to get my Masters in adapted physical activity to bring awareness and grow physical activity programs for kids and adults with disabilities. This year I am running the Boston marathon again with John but I am also doing something to bring more awareness and raise money to help find a cure for MS. I was selected to be a part of a relay and the only relay that runs across the United States, MS Run the US. I will run 167 miles in 6 days from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio to Brookville, PA. I chose to do this for John because I have seen the struggle
