What does number sense mean to you? In mathematics education, number sense can refer to "an intuitive understanding of numbers, their magnitude, relationships, and how they are affected by operations" In this hands on workshop you will dive deeper into the meaning of numbers and number sense. We will also focus on understanding mathematical fluency as it relates to numbers. Participants will be hands on in creating various make and take items for use in their classrooms and with their students. The date for this training will be February 25th from 9:00-3:00 at the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit - room 107. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. Training and Workshops are free to all contributing members, districts, and charters to the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit. *Noncontributing members may be subject to a fee for trainings. *Materials/Lunch Fee's may apply to some trainings* Districts will be invoiced following training. *Advanced Cancellation* is required or districts will be billed.
